Your Guide to Bridesmaid Gifts

Your Guide to Bridesmaid Gifts

You love your bridesmaids and they are your best friends in the world. That’s why you chose them to walk down the aisle with you after all. So to show your gratitude for everything they do, especially in the run up to your exchange of beautiful platinum wedding rings, give them a gift. Deciding on the perfect present may be a little tricky when you want to buy multiple people the same thing. So, we’ve come up with a few ideas to help you out. What do you think of these?

Cover the Cost

A simple thing you can do is to cover the cost of their dress, hair and make-up for the big day, as well as their stay overnight at a hotel if needed. Make sure you budget for this though as the costs can add up.

Jewellery

If you would rather give them a physical item, which they can remember your wedding by, why not opt for jewellery. It doesn’t have to be the finest platinum, but a simple necklace or pair of earrings they can wear on the day. This way your bridesmaids will match completely and they will have a stunning keep sake.

Bridesmaid Outfits

It’s unlikely your bridesmaids will spend the entire wedding day in their dresses. You wouldn’t want makeup to get dropped on them when getting ready, or for them to crease from sitting around waiting. So give your girls a gift of something to wear while they prepare. A ‘bridesmaid’ monogrammed t-shirt, hoody or vest is a great idea, or maybe a dressing gown. And if they want to get their dancing shoes on at the reception why not allow them to kick off their heels and slip on a pair of special flip flops? These are not only extremely comfortable but will have them feeling like a cohesive group.

Personalised Gifts

For an added sentimental touch you can give a series of gifts that are personalised to each bridesmaid and their character. Include their names or their favourite colours to make each gift unique, yet with a theme running throughout. This could be tote bags, hankies (just in case there are tears), phone covers, or anything you like.

A Honeymoon

So after the wedding, you and your partner will be jet setting off to somewhere exotic to unwind and enjoy the start of married life. But everyone else will have to go back to day-to-day life; where’s their break? So give your bridesmaids gift vouchers towards a spa weekend away. This will give them the freedom and flexibility to choose a date that works well for them, and gives them a relaxing (and affordable) short break to look forward too.   What do you think? What will you give your bridesmaids as a gift at your wedding? If you have any other ideas we’d love to hear them!
