To make matters worse, the wedding rings were by no means of the cheap variety having just set back Mr Hajji in excess of £6,000. Speaking to Reuters, Mr Hajji states, “I couldn't believe it. I just watched as it went further and further into the air. I felt like such a plonker. It cost a fortune and I knew my girlfriend would kill me.” Mr Hajji wasn’t prepared to give up that easily, however, and spent the subsequent two hours chasing the wedding rings in his car; alas, to no avail. Now she is refusing to speak to me until I get her a new wedding ring.
