Unique Marriage Destinations

Deciding whether it’s the gold wedding rings that take your fancy or if you think a diamond number would be better received is only half the battle. Picking a location for the exchange of wedding vows is also a bone of much contention. However, a story in the Independent outlines some of the more outlandish destinations for the vows and swapping of wedding rings.

Wedding Rings & Venue – The Two Most Important Choices

Whilst it’s clear that you have to wear your wedding rings for the length of your marriage, you only get one chance at picking the perfect wedding venue for you. The Independent reports on some of the more unique locations that people have chosen to tie the knot. Just a selection of these includes:
  • London Eye – Exchanging wedding rings on the London eye will certainly give you a breathtaking backdrop for you to exchange vows. It will be a highly intimate affair as each capsule on the London Eye will only have enough room for 20 guests.
  • HMS Belfast – Getting married on a vast naval gunship is certainly more likely to appeal to the Groom than the Bride and she may well take some convincing to exchange wedding rings on a deck surrounded by heavy artillery.
  • Great Wall of China – There can be few more recognisable backdrops for a wedding ceremony than the spectacular Great Wall of China. The exchange of wedding rings on one of the Seven Wonders of the World will certainly provide the Groom with plenty of anecdotes to bore his relatives with.
  • Ice Hotel – Quebec boasts a hotel constructed entirely of ice and many lovebirds are decided to swap wedding rings and vows in its spectacular, if a little chilly, surroundings.
