The Most Extravagant Places to Propose

The Most Extravagant Places to Propose

Will You Marry Me? Do you think your other half would like a flashy and extravagant proposal that they’ll remember for ever? Well, if you’re not sure where to start in planning such a proposal read on…

At An Iconic Monument

Some of the most extravagant places to propose are likely to cost you some money as sadly iconic monuments aren’t located just around the corner. They will make amazing engagement photos though! Book a holiday to Paris and get down on one knee under the Eiffel Tower, or visit New York and get down on one knee at the top of the Empire State Building at sunset. These venues are awe inspiring and hopefully, your partner’s jaw will drop when they see you proposing with one of our platinum engagement rings. If Paris and New York aren’t for you then why not propose whilst visiting one of the following attractions: •    The Sagrada Familia, Barcelona, Spain •    The Great Wall of China, China •    St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Russia •    The Taj Mahal, Agra, India •    Trevi Fountain, Rome, Italy •    Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria, Germany •    Tower Bridge, London, UK •    The Temple of Besakih, Bali, Indonesia •    The Ice Hotel, Jukkasjärvi, Sweden

In Front of Thousands

What could be more extravagant than proposing in front of thousands of people in one of the busiest places in the world? You’d have thousands of witnesses to cheer you on for support and you won’t have to worry about filming and photographs then. Cosmopolitan centres such as Times Square, Trafalgar or Leicester Square are perfect locations for very public and extravagant proposals. And they look even more romantic at night as the bright lights shine down on you. If you are both into sport then you could propose using the big screen at a sports stadium or music concert.

At Home

Who said you have to go out to be extravagant? You can make anything special if you put the effort in. Stay in and transform your home for a truly personal experience. There is of course the classic proposal idea of a trail of red rose petals, a candlelit dinner and a ring inside a heart of roses on the bed. But our favourite extravagant at home engagement involves lots of presents, clues and of course a ring. Plan a scavenger hunt for your other half for a fun and memorable experience. Hide clues around your home along with presents which increase in price, for example a bag of sweets, a book, a dress and then the ring. The clues should have personal references and jokes inside that only you pair share. This is not a cheap proposal but she’s sure to remember it forever.

So will you be proposing at an iconic monument, in front of thousands or at home? If you haven’t already chosen the ring here are a few tips to help you decide on the one.
